Community Coach Lecturers Urgently Required
The Netfit Community Coach Course was introduced in March 2007, in response to the demand for sustainable community based exercise classes. Course participants are those who want to become leaders of group exercise within their own communities aimed at a mainly inactive population. Many participants are graduates of Green Prescription programmes, members of community and/or church and cultural groups. Many of the courses are supported and subsidised by organisations such as Sports Trusts, DHBs, Heart Foundation etc. Participants generally have very little, or no experience or formal training in Exercise Prescription, basic physiology or anatomy. The course has become extremely popular in a very short time so that we have urgent need for more lecturers going forward into 2008. We are looking for lecturers for the delivery of both the theory and practical components of these courses. As the demand for the course is nationwide, we are looking for both North and South Island based lecturers. Courses are not scheduled but rather run according to demand and organized to suit both lecturer and participant availability. To find out more about course structure and content, please click here. . If you are interested in applying for a position as a lecturer, please fill out this application form. Successful applicants will receive specific training and undergo an evaluation process. For more details of the training pathway please contact Netfit or email Trish Miles at trishm@netfit.co.nz
